Hip Hop ain't dead.
Hip Hop ain't dead because of following facts.
1. Yes there is a lot shit now days but there is also good music produced today. Yes the trash is dominating but why should we care?
Now we have more 'real Hip Hop' Fans then back in the days. Many people first listened to Lil Jon and now to Run DMC for example.
2. They can't be 'real real real Hip Hop' produced anymore. The time is just over. I don't wanna say that the new songs ain't real hip hop but they are more new real hip hop, which I really love too.
To be honest the situations of many black people changed threw the years. Imagine a black President candidate who has a real chance to win. in 84 or 92? Against the communist? A black President? Not possible. I don't wanna say that there are no ghettos etc. anymore but for example Cali is now dominated by the Hispanics not by the blacks, I don't wanna say that latinos can't be hip hop but they're belong to the 'new real hip hop'. not back in 82' after the black Power Movements in the 70's and the Crack Kings poisoned the ghettos.
3. Hip Hop won't have forever commercial success. In a few years another way of music (maybe electro?) gonna be interesting for Warner/Universal/Sony/EMI etc. Less Hip Hop more Funk, Classic, Rock, Jungle, House, Country whatever.
Hip Hop is now that what it is.
Like you can see in the last few years the producers had success. Why?. Because the people don't listen to the lyrics anymore. How? A kid in Croatia for example can't understand the Lyrics. But he knows Hip Hop. And when he gets older and can understand the lyrics he will listen to better lyrical Rap.
Don't hate all new songs because Hip Hop now sucks. You just have to pick right.
We have both sides the bad and the good one.
We just got to stay alive. Keep making music..
