camera and a counterbalance weight. For the Lumifi shoot, two cameras
Were mounted on one Steadicam, shooting in unison two characters that
interact as college roommates.
This is a comprehensive behind the scenes documentary highlighting
Mission Film's production of the "Lumifi Your Life" music video produced for
the Maryland based company Lumifi, LLC.
The video reveals a completely original use of the Steadicam camera
stabilization system by repurposing it to mount two cameras shooting
simultaneously in opposite directions. The resulting effect is a film
industry first, marrying together two real-time images with a side by
Side split screen.

Steadicam operator Jim Ball, whose credits include HBO's award winning
series "The Wire," was incredibly enthusiastic when contacted about the
project. Ball was able to overcome a seemingly insurmountable number of
technical and creative obstacles to successfully navigate the precision
operation required.
The music video was made to highlight Lumifi, an interactive research
And collaboration portal. Lumifi¹s proprietary software analyzes the
relationships between words to produce contextual insight not possible
With traditional indexing or search technologies.
