| A beautiful video tribute to the one and only Jack Lemmon, the handsome star of Some Like It Hot. With music by Marilyn Monroe and Mariah Carey. Includes rare baby images, lots of portraits and images of Jack in his movies. Jack Lemmon was born on the 8th of February, 1925 in a Boston, Massachusetts hospital. The fresh-faced actor learned to play the piano by ear when growing up in his teens. He could also play many harmonica themes. During the 1940s and 50s, he starred in over 500 live television performances. Jack was the young star of the early sitcom, Room Service. In 1953, Jack was finally noticed by Hollywood scouts when Jack starred with Judy Holliday in "It Should Happen to You" (1954). Many other great comedy films came from Jack include "Some Like It Hot" (1959), "The Apartment" (1960), "Irma La Douce" (1963), "The Great Race" (1965), "The Odd Couple" (1968), "The Out of Towners" (1970) and "Avanti!" (1972). Jack was also admired strongly over his touching dramas, including "Days of Wine and Roses" (1962), "Save the Tiger" (1973) and "Missing" (1982). Jack won two Oscar awards; Best Supporting Actor for "Mister Roberts" (1955) and Best Actor for "Save the Tiger" (1973). He also won 22 Academy Awards (with over 40 other nominations) for many of his delightful comedy films and tragic dramas. I made this video because I adore Jack Lemmon. It took me a while but I know it was worth it. Enjoy! |
