PART 2: Thank you so much for all the positive responses to this video! They really mean a lot to me cause I would like to go into journalism one day in the future hopefully! This was my first press hour ever and my first time interviewing a celebrity (and on top of that, my hero).so as you could probably tell, i was extremely nervous.
A few people have been asking questions as to how i was able to do this interview. i was able to do the interview through the San Diego Union Tribune, where I am a kid reporter there. I am a big fan of Idol and i did some articles about idol for them in the past.I asked them if i could get backstage passes for the tour and they said no, but they did allow me to go to the press hour.so that was how i was able to do the interview! If you think that you might want to interview David Archuleta when he comes to your city, try and contact your local newspaper! I know it seems like a far out request and I can't guarantee anything will come true, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Plus if you're a kid or a teen, you could tell the newspaper that you are going to be providing a unique "kid's point of view" to the story.
And then if everything works out, you can ask him questions that you want to know and stay away from the ones he hears all the time like "do you have a girlfriend? is your dad abusive?" stuff. it's worth a try and you honestly have nothing to lose!
