Now in paperback! "The Fabulous Sylvester: The Legend, the Music, the Seventies in San Francisco" by Joshua Gamson. In this vintage clip, we see Sylvester (1947-1988) and the Two Tons Of Fun (Izora Rhodes and Martha Wash) performing on national television, circa summer of 1979. An early member of San Francisco drag troupe "The Cockettes," Sylvester was best known for singing the disco classics "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" and "Dance Disco Heat" from the album "Step 2" which went Gold.
