Marathon is 241 years after Halo series and it ties in with Halo. This secret ending reveals this is the planet in Marathon and that Master Cheif is woken up and you are him in Marathon. Next Halo=Marathon trilogy. More games will be made but not after this one but in between the Halo games. - Hallo457 - A remake of the first Marathon game certainly is a very guaranteed possibility. The planet that the ship was headed towards isn't Onyx. It's not possible. The Ark is WAY outside of our galaxy, and Onyx is on the inside. And when you enter the galaxy, geologically, Onyx isn't in a way that he could drift. What I'm saying is, it's physically, and scientifically impossible for Onyx to be that planet. I'm not saying it's the planet Marathon takes place on. I haven't seen it to make sure, but it's a very good possibility of happening. Whatever someone wants to believe, there will never, unless someone in Bungie really gets their **** together and makes a damn good story why, EVER be a "Halo 4".
