This is a little video I put together to give people a rough idea of the basic sounds you get from the Seymour Duncan Blackout pickups. I use them and love them.
I recorded this direct-in through a Line 6 Toneport UX2. I only used a Jazz Clean (I only removed the delay and lessened the reverb a little on the Modern Jazz preset) and a Distortion preset I made a long while ago. I didn't edit this and I was just messing around.
I use a lot of mids and little highs for my distortion and I like a lot of "pop" in my cleans. The pickups are very versatile in what sort of tones you can get from them. These are just MY likings in this video.
