Both Peyton and Brooke like Lucas, but Peyton ends up dating him, making Brooke very angry. When Peyton finally breaks it off with Lucas, it's only a matter of time before Brooke goes after him. This, in turn, makes Peyton angry. While Brooke and Lucas enjoy a sordid fling, Peyton comes back into the picture to seduce Lucas. Brooke finds out and she is not too happy with Peyton. Meanwhile, Rachel goes after Lucas, but that doesn't stop Peyton. Brooke goes after Peyton with a vengeance and wins back Lucas. Brooke is there for Lucas when he wins the state championship. Seeing Brooke with Lucas pisses off Peyton since he was hers in the first place. Peyton goes after Brooke, but it doesn't matter. Brooke ends up with Lucas in the end.
