| Here's an obscure musical performance I stumbled upon. I was told this was the very last performance of Creedence Clearwater Revival in November 1983. If this was correct, it would have been the 20th reunion of the class of 1963 from the El Cerrito High School at the Concord Inn in El Cerrito, CA. However, I've been informed that this is actually the 1988 25th anniversary of the 1963 class of El Cerrito High School. This would be a semi-reunion of Creedence Clearwater Revival, featuring only John Fogerty and Doug Clifford. Stu Cook was not part of this event, nor was Tom Fogerty. The band was not billed as CCR, but the original band name of the Blue Velvets. They perform 4 songs on this video - Born On The Bayou, Bad Moon Rising, Baby What do you Want Me to Do, and Good Golly Miss Molly. The quality is mediocre, and I have no idea who the original camera operator was. This multi-generation copy is believed to be in the public domain after having been shared from one archivist to another. The title credit at the front of this video is WRONG. If you can provide any additional information about this event or whoever shot this video, the forum is YOURS. |
