It's The Battle of the Stars! Tube Number 1 presents two versions of the Rock & Roll classic, "Little Star".
First up are The Elegants from Staten Island, with their original 1958 recording.
Next come the pride of Maspeth, NY - Randy & The Rainbows (of "Denise" fame) with their 1964 cover of "Little Star".
Whose "Little Star" will win? We'll let you decide. As for Tube Number 1 . . . we'll just say we like 'em both a lot.
Note: Both The Elegants and Randy & The Rainbows were New York area high school students when they recorded "Little Star".
