I was preparing to film a video of a thunderstorm. I was at my computer showing a radar loop of the approaching storm, when suddenly an extremely close lightning strike occurs right over my home and startles the daylights out of me. The strike was so close that the electrmagnetic field generated by the lightning, distorts the video and actually freezes it for a few seconds. I lose a few seconds of sound and picture. I then run to the window, angry that I wasn't there at the time of the lightning strike, when a second very close lightning strike occurs. This next one although loud, it was not as close or as loud as the first.
