For video number three in what we can safely call a series, I've put in this video the Hymn to Red October track from the MCA release of The Hunt for Red October score CD. The Hunt for Red October is based on the popular Tom Clancy novel, and stars Sean Connery as a renegade Soviet sub captain and Alec Baldwin as a CIA analyst who thinks he knows what the captain is really up to. An avid sailor, Poledouris' respect for the sea comes out clearly in this score which combines a live orchestra with synthesizers that represent the coolness and light mystique of the ocean depths, and, of course, the Russian chorus singing with pride.
