| A beloved 1964, 21-minute film by Soviet animator Boris Dyozhkin. A big hockey match comes to a little town. Film without words. "Shaybu! Shaybu!!" is a traditional Russian hockey cry, and translates roughly to "The puck! The puck!!" This is one of the most famous examples of the Disney-like style in Russian animation. You can read more about the film over here: nimator.ru/db/?ver=eng&p=show_film&fid=2157 and here are some interesting shots of how this film actually got animated: russian-insider.blogspot.com/2006/04/boris-dezhkin-part-2.html |
