| Video Description PROJECT ZERO III: THE TORMENTED (Tecmo, 2005) Mii playing Project Zero III: the Tormented (Fatal Frame III: The Tormented, Zero: Shisei no Koe) for Playstation 2. Video quality is horrible, it`s mainly boring, but other than that, it's okay. Recorded just after completing the game for the first time back in 2006. Back then I used the name [Fin]hide, but later I've changet it to Mii85. Everything you will see here, or saw, is from the beginning of the game, and you will not find any critical spoilers here. Hopely you enjoy! ------------------------------------------------------ ABOUT PROJECT ZERO 3: THE TORMENTED & PROJECT ZERO SERIES Fatal Frame, known as Project Zero in Europe and Australia and Zero (零, Zero?, this is a pun; this kanji is normally read rei, which can also mean "ghost") in Japan, is a survival horror series, so far consisting of three games and a spin-off. The first and second games in the series were released for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox, whereas the third game is currently only available for the PlayStation 2. A fourth game has been confirmed to be developed for the Wii. The series deals with exorcism, dark Shinto rituals, and above all, ghosts. Created by Tecmo, Fatal Frame is one of the most well received survival horror games to date. The main object of the game is to solve a mystery which is linked to old Japanese superstitions. Project Zero III: The Tormented based on horror movies, urban legends, and specifically some of the spiritual encounters & dreams of Makoto Shibata the series producer. What many fans may not know, is that Kikuchi-san (director of Project Zero series) originally took the idea for the game to Capcom. Capcom at the time was already very deep in the survival horror gaming genre, with its clocktower & resident evil series. However, Capcom took one look at the game and turned it down. Kikuchi-san then took the game idea and plugged it to Tecmo, who welcomed the storyline and unique fighting style with open arms. Hence the Zero/Fatal Frame/Project Zero series was born. CONFUZION ABOUT THE GAMES` NAME: Fatal Frame is/was originally called 'Zero' in Japan. When the game was brought over to the states, it was renamed Fatal Frame. (This is a common practice, Residen Evil for example has the original name of Biohazard in Japan). When the game was released in Europe, it was giving the name Project Zero. Japanese version: Zero, Zero: Akaichou, & Zero: Shisei no Koe US version: Fatal Frame, Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly, & Fatal Frame III: The Tormented PAL (European) version: Project Zero, Project Zero II: Crimson Butterfly, & Project Zero III: The tormented ------------------------------------------------------ :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: About Fatal Frame / Project Zero IV :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: " There have been rumours that the fourth installment of the series is currently in works, however no official confirmation has been made by Tecmo as of yet. During an interview, Kikuchi Keisuke, the producer of the trilogy, implied that he wanted to make another game on either the Xbox 360 or the PlayStation 3. He later hinted that he might end up making a game on the Nintendo Wii." To the contrary, 1UP learned at Tokyo Game Show that Tecmo's enlisted the help of Grasshopper Manufacture to produce the next Fatal Frame game. And here's the kicker: it's for Wii. Grasshopper will start on Fatal Frame when work on No More Heroes, recently announced for a US release via Ubisoft, has finished. Given that No More Heroes was developed on Wii, Grasshopper seems content on Nintendo's console.
